Templates and checklists
The following Council forms and checklists provide more detail on the information, plans and specifications which must be provided with each application:
All correspondence and documentation must be submitted through the NSW Planning Portal with your application.
Why do delays happen?
One of the most common reasons for delays in receiving your determination of your application is due to a lack of required or inadequate information on plans and documentation, and the requirements for referrals and notification. Council (and any state agencies) may request additional information about the development if necessary to properly consider your development.
Council may recommend engaging a suitably qualified professional to assist in preparing your application if you are unsure of the requirements. Engaging a consultant may reduce assessment timeframes and provide you with ease in ensuring your application is supported by the necessary information, and to guide you through the assessment process.
You will generally need, at a minimum, to employ the services of a designer or draftsperson to prepare your Architectural Set of Plans and drawings to support your application.
