Deniliquin High School's highly anticipated annual 'High Arts 2024' exhibition is returning to the Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery this December after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Running from December 2 to December 13, this event, supported by Edward River Council, marks a celebration of the creativity, talent, and dedication of Deniliquin High School's Visual Arts students.

The exhibition is the culmination of the work of students across Years 7 to 12, showcasing the top-achieving artworks from the school's Visual Arts program. Around 80 students will display their works, offering a unique insight into the students journeys as budding artists.

‘High Arts’ will feature a diverse range of drawings and paintings produced throughout the year, representing the personal and artistic growth of each student. For many, this will be their first time exhibiting their work publicly, outside the school environment, making it an exciting milestone.

This year’s exhibition is more than just an art show; it is a chance for students to share their creative stories with their family, friends, and the broader community, celebrating their efforts and achievements over the course of 2024.

"We're thrilled to see 'High Arts' return to the Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery after a long break," said Mayor Cr Ashley Hall.

"We are proud to assist in providing a platform for our local students to showcase their talent and hard work; and we invite the community to join us in celebrating the impressive and varied collection of artworks that the students have poured their hearts into,” said Mayor Hall.

Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply looking to support the next generation of local artists, this exhibition promises to be a must-see event.
