Edward River Growth Strategy 2050
The Edward River Growth Strategy 2050 project is Council's response to the Our Region Your Say - Sefton's Report which articulates the aspiration of the community to grow the population to 19,800 people by 2050.
The Strategy, which will include a planning framework to support urban expansion and infill development, supports our community's aspiration for the development of services including health and education, and new investment in housing, industry, recreation and arts and culture by providing a coordinated approach to how we encourage and manage growth in this region over the next 25+ years.
Edward River 2050 will be a blueprint that sets out our region's competitive advantage and economic opportunities, and will direct residential, commercial and industrial expansion in a sustainable and strategic way. We've heard from you, our community, that we need to grow to prosper. This strategy will provide our Council with a clear vision for growth.
