Edward River Council works with community to deliver many events, markets, sporting events and arts and cultural performances annually. Discover what to see and do this month in our region.

Our community and tourism events list showcases the wide variety of happenings in the Edward River region. Iconic annual events attract visitors to our region and small one-off or regular events are essential ingredients in keeping our community connected, cohesive and entertained.

If you are planning an event, Edward River Council can support you by:

  • Providing a free Event page to list your event, which is promoted on our website and through the Visitor Information Centre 
  • Advice and assistance with permits and licenses 
  • Logistical support 
  • Safety and security advice

McLean Beach Park Run

01 Mar 2025 Register (only once in your life) at www.parkrun.com.au. Bring your bar
code with you. Park in the McLeans beach car park, and walk up to the
start at the end of the dirt road past the car park. Arrive by 7.50am.
You can walk, run, volunteer or spectate! Children under 11yo must be
accompanied by an adult. Dogs welcome (maximum of one dog per
person on short, non-extendable, hand-held lead).
