This critical role involves overseeing insurance and claims management, business continuity planning, providing staff training, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies to manage risks across the Council.
About you:
You will have a strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to implement strategies across diverse departments. A keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills will help you manage risks effectively and ensure that staff are equipped to meet the challenges of maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
About your new role:
As the Risk Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and oversight of our enterprise risk management framework. Reporting to the Manager of Governance, Safety & Risk, you will:
- Coordinate the development and implementation of risk management initiatives
- Provide training and development to staff to enhance risk awareness
- Identify and mitigate strategic and operational risks and monitor updates in legislation
- Oversee Council's Insurance Portfolio and Claims Management
- Coordinate Business Continuity planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing risk management policies and systems.
- Oversee insurance and claims management processes.
- Coordinate business continuity planning and risk mitigation strategies.
- Deliver staff training on risk management procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
