We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rates & Revenue Administration Assistant to join our team at Edward River Council. As a Rates & Revenue Administration Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our rating and revenue function while acquiring valuable skills and experience.

What will you do?
- Deliver data with precision: Ensure accurate and up-to-date property records by entering data into our property database with ease.
- Support government initiatives: Assist with government schemes like rates Pension rebates under the guidance of our Coordinator Rating and Revenue.
- Rate up your skills: Gain hands-on experience with rates functions and contribute to the smooth operation of our revenue management system.
- Be the point of contact: Answer phone enquiries and provide exceptional service to our customers on property and rating matters.
- Keep our records in order: Store and maintain corporate records in our Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS), ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Adhere to our code of conduct: Demonstrate a strong understanding of our values and principles, upholding the highest standards of conduct and behaviour.
What we're looking for:
- Previous administration experience
- Demonstarted written and verbal communication skills to interact with our customers and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and records management
- Excellent organisational skills to multitask and meet deadlines
- Superior customer service skills to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic computer skills to navigate our software programs with ease
- Exceptional data entry skills to efficiently process information
