About the role:

Position Name: Rates & Revenue Administration Assistant

Pay Band: Band 1 Level 3 ($54,288.00 - $67,798.27)

Fulltime - 35 hours / 9 day fortnight


About you:

Your strong attention to detail and accuracy will see you succeed in this new role. You will also have:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic document and records management systems.
  • Familiarity with property databases and rating systems is an advantage.
  • Commitment to upholding the principles of conduct and standards of behaviour.

 

What Does The Role Involve:

Reporting directly to the Rating & Revenue Coordinator, you will:

  • Input data into Council’s property database records, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Assist with government schemes such as rates pension rebates under the guidance of the Coordinator Rating and Revenue.
  • Provide support for various rates functions as required.
  • Answer telephone enquiries related to property and rating matters.
  • Store and maintain corporate records in Council’s Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and the State Records Act.
  • Demonstrate and adhere to the principles of conduct and standards of behaviour as defined within the Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed, within the skills and abilities of the individual.
