People & Culture Learning & Support Trainee - 2-Year Traineeship  

Looking to build a successful career in People& Culture (Human Resources)? Edward River Council is offering an incredible opportunity for a People & Culture Learning & Support Trainee to gain valuable experience while completing a Certificate IV in Human Resource Management. 

About the Position: 

This is more than just a job—it’s your chance to dive into the world of People & Culture while developing the skills and qualifications that will propel your career forward. Over the course of a 2-year traineeship, you’ll work closely with our People & Culture team, assisting in key People & Culture functions and gaining practical, real-world experience across various areas of human resources. 

  • Full time 
  • 35 hour week  
  • 2 year fixed term  

 

Your Key Responsibilities: 

  • Training & Development: Assist in the design and delivery of employee training programs. 
  • Payroll Administration: Get hands-on with payroll and HRIS systems. 
  • Performance Management: Support performance review processes and employee feedback. 
  • Recruitment & Selection: Help coordinate recruitment efforts, from advertising roles to interviewing candidates. 
  • HR Advisory: Be involved in providing HR support to staff and managers across the organisation.
