The NSW Electoral Commission has completed ballot counting this week, determining the election of nine Councillors to Edward River Council.
The newly elected members are:
•Kellie Crossley
•Ashley Hall
•Craig Druitt
•Frank Schofield
•Leanne Mulham
•Shirlee Burge
•Ken Bates
•Linda Fawns
•Shannon Sampson The newly elected Council will convene for their inaugural meeting on Tuesday, 8 October. During this meeting, Councillors will be sworn in and then elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
Following the election of leadership positions, Council will embark on a comprehensive induction program, ensuring Councillors are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve the community effectively.
Gary Arnold, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Edward River Council, stated “I welcome the newly elected members as they prepare to take office, and look forward to working together to foster a culture of harmony and collaboration.”
