To help provide critical location details, ensure you have the Emergency+ app downloaded on your phone. Emergency+ is a free app developed by Australia’s emergency services with government and industry partners. It uses your phone's GPS to help mobilise emergency services.

Official flood warnings are provided by the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) and the SES is the lead agency for any emergency response. Always check their websites first for information about flood warnings and preparedness. Council’s main role is managing infrastructure and services affected by floodwater. We also play a role in supporting the emergency management process. During such times, SES is the lead agency, and we take their directives.
